some new favs

My cameras are still sitting with dead batteries, so, no pics. But, I did want to share some of my new favs (food).

APPLE & CHEESE WRAP
1 flat out
1 small apple thinly sliced
1 slice of WW american cheese

place apples on 1/2 of the flat out, tear cheese in half and put on top of apples. fold flat out over top and microwave for 30 seconds! DELISH!

BERRY NUTTY OATS
1/3 c. oats
2/3 c. water
1 T. chopped walnuts
1 T. dried cranberries
1 T. flax seed
1 t. cinnamon

make oats in microwave. stir in walnuts, cranberries, flax seed & cinnamon. add sweetener if desired (which I DESIRE!)

PROTEIN SHAKE
1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder
1/2 c. skim milk
1/4 c. coffee
1 T. almond butter
1/2 banana

mix all together in blender. this has been my post workout/long run drink.


For breakfast these days I've found the new "bagel thins". I LOVE me some arnold sandwich thins, and have NOT had a bagel in months! These are 1 point and I top them with the individual WW cream cheese for 1 point. I LOVE them! I've also discovered the krustez corn bread, which is lower in points than the jiffy! And for my fellow WW members, I was in love with the new 1 pt. chocolate/pretzel/carmel bars and bought a box! OMG! DELISH!

It is currently 32 degrees, snowing & windy today, which technically should be my long run day. But, yesterday I decided to do it while it was sunny, 60 degrees and beautiful! So, I did 8 miles! I hate this weather. I just want spring to come and STAY!
